Laws and Customs on the Counting of the Omer, Lag BaOmer, Shavuot, the 17th of Tammuz, the Three Weeks of Mourning, and Tisha B'Av. As well as the Megillah of Ruth and the Megillah of Eichah, accompanied by Midrashim on the destruction of the Temple. One who places their trust in God does not harm their neighbor. They turn to the Creator and address their prayers to Him, placing their hope in Him. They know that what they receive comes solely from the Most High. They also know that others receive their portion according to what is decided in Heaven, and that no one can ever take what is rightfully theirs. Whoever has complete trust in God is not concerned with their neighbor, but solely with God. This is why, during the days of the Omer when the people were initiated into Emunah (faith), God punished the students of Rabbi Akiva, because Sinat Chinam (unfounded hatred) stems from this lack of trust in God.
