Meam Loez - Complete 17-volume set on the Torah

This anthology of the Torah, translated for the first time into French, is the work of one of the most illustrious Sephardic sages of the early 18th century, Rabbi Yaacov Couli. He titled it Meam Loez and published it in 1730. The impact of this commentary was such that it changed the spiritual climate of Jewish communities in the Mediterranean basin. Considered a classic, this work is ranked alongside the Talmud and the Mishnah. Since its publication, its daily reading within Sephardic communities has become a tradition, to the point that it was studied every evening in synagogues. Many consider Meam Loez to be among the best commentaries ever written on the Torah. This anthology is a true encyclopedia of Judaism. In 1967, Moznaim (Vagshal) published the first Hebrew translation, under the title Yalkout Meam Loez, which very quickly became a "best-seller." The enthusiasm was such that nearly 250,000 volumes have already been sold.
