Rabbi Yaakov Edelstein - an exemplary conduct

Torah-Box Editions is pleased to present the book “Rav Yaakov Edelstein”, in the series “A Living Torah”.

“A ladder whose feet were on the ground and whose head reached the heavens”: this is how countless people, both secular and religious, described the Rabbi after his passing. He was indeed the Rabbi of the city of Ramat Hacharon, located near Tel Aviv, and it is from this place, known as a
spiritual desert, which the Rav managed, thanks to his kindness, his erudition and his greatness, to bring so many people closer to the Torah.

In the chapters that more precisely paint the portrait of a man of elusive greatness, the authors, who had the privilege of knowing him personally for many years, reveal to us his boundless love for the Jewish people, his dedication to the study of the Torah, his unfathomable humility compared to his true spiritual stature…

After a life entirely devoted to Torah and kindness, the Rabbi passed away in 2017, leaving behind the thousands of Jews he had enlightened, guided, and loved like a benevolent father. May this work contribute to perpetuating his light.

The authors, the couple Yédidya & Sivan Rahav-Meir, are well-known in the Israeli media landscape: distinguished journalists, they are Orthodox and live in Jerusalem with their five children. Their posts, articles, and status updates are followed by tens of thousands of people from all walks of life.
