Sidour Echet Hayïl of Rabénou

" Your house will thus be filled with prayers and will become a worthy vessel for heavenly blessings ."

Tikoun Aolam Editions are pleased to present the new Sidour Echet 'Hayil de Rabénou , dedicated to a female audience.

Our Sages have stated that, generally speaking, women do not need the letters of a prayer book. To implore God from the depths of their being, they are not dependent on a text, for they are, in their essence, closer to God; they are easily moved to tears and possess heightened sensitivity! Indeed, their hearts express themselves naturally; their entire lives are prayer and a close relationship with the Creator of the universe.

A woman can use the "nine quantities of speech" with which she has been blessed to constantly converse with God. While performing her tasks, her lips continually utter prayers: that her husband may grow in Torah, that her home may be filled with holiness, that her children may be healthy, that there may be abundance, that the sick may be healed, and that everyone may succeed in their endeavors. She may also simply ask that her cake or meal taste good…

Sidour Échet Hayïl de Rabénou – (For Women), Tikoun Aolam - Bayit Tova

Sidour Échet Hayïl de Rabénou – (For Women), Tikoun Aolam - Bayit Tova

In morning prayer, it is not because he feels superior to the woman that the man thanks God for not having made him a woman, but rather because of the difficulty of being a woman since among other responsibilities, the most important task falls to the woman, that of instilling the notion of God in the child, a difficult task because it is abstract.

According to Rabenu, harmony within the family unit is paramount: “One must show great respect to one's wife, for she is entirely responsible for the household. We must honor and cherish our wives. Indeed, the wife cooks and provides for her husband and children everything they need. Our Sages described the wife as the heart of the home. We must have compassion for her and help her as much as possible. Women experience great anxiety for their children. They suffer during pregnancy and childbirth, and then they have the worries of raising them. This is in addition to the many other situations in which they go to great lengths for you.”

We decided to publish this Siddur to give all those who wish to pray the opportunity to understand the prayers in Hebrew, but also to study the Laws specific to women, as well as the wonderful commentaries of Rabbi Nachman on prayer.

Hoping that this Siddur will bring you great spiritual benefit and that your attachment to Rabbeinu will be significantly strengthened.
